I miss it as well and you could really live on the edge because that next check was only a few days away. Pay bills, go out and be damn near down to your last dollar but still survive if you do it right.
Can only image brehs who would be in that kind of situation and link with a female just because she had food and it was basically a lifeline until you got paid again
I get paid weekly, but i used to get paid monthly in college. It bothered me back then, but that was because i only made $800 a month. and had to be very budget minded all month to ensure i didn't run out of money.
But thats the thing i think. Monthly paychecks only bother you if you don't have a high enough monthly salary to get you through the month without stressing. If you are making more in month than you would spend. its probably not a big deal.

I get 13 checks a year.
I budget and make it work. I used to work 90 straight days then am off (without pay) for 90 days. Now I work 75 on and 75 off.
I feel like a rich boy when I come home and a broke boy right before I go back to work.

I’ve been on the weekly pay shyt for a decade now and I ain’t going back
Humans are controlled by their habits. On average people who get paid weekly end up spending faster. It's documented. Especially blue collar workers. In some industries they would go on benders every Friday and have a ton of call ins so companies started paying biweekly which forced those types to show up to work.

Even bi-weekly employers are cheap for the same reason.
I work 3 days a week and get paid for the whole week. If I have the time and energy I can hustle for 2-3 days on my own time but honestly for the last year I've just been living it up when I'm off. Life is not promised. I seen to many people go in a short time and all they did when they were here was work.I get 13 checks a year.

I had a company once say that they were getting charged more for doing payroll weekly because they outsourced the task. That is a factor also in some cases. Depends who does that work.
IT'S ACTUALLY EASIER IF YOU STICK TO BUDGETS. SUCKS DONKEY BALLS IF YOU'RE BAD AT MONEY MANAGEMENT OR YOU'RE WAGES AREN'T LINED UP WITH YOUR EXPENSES.
