Getting rid of DEI is not really to target our people

Yet within government agencies, 9 times out of 10, removal of any and all references to anything DEI-related just happens to be black folk. Interesting how that's working out, since we're not the "target".

They look at the word diversity and peope think that mean black people. Diversity benefited everyone else. If you should use any word it should be adversity not diversity.

I believe it was more for disabled and gays than it was for black people. We’re just included because we’ve been the only minority group actually successful at defending a cause…

But we already had Civil Rights and Affirmative Action really. But they killed Affirmative Action a couple years ago… see a pattern?

Our people used military enrollment and later settled in government roles. I know I’m a government employee. I never said we wouldn’t be effected I said we wasn’t the TARGET.

And that’s why I said in the future we can’t be standing for everyone’s causes. They have always used our struggle to push their movements to get laws passed that benefit them. And that’s why we not really a big recipient of DEI jobs.

They had an entire movement cause white women used to work from home running the family business or sell goods from home. White women won’t in the work force in large numbers. So black women joined them they got all these rights black women got some rights laws passed etc. Black women shouldn’t have participated in women’s liberation movement.

Me and just about everyone I personally know aren’t against DEI… and we are not beneficiaries of it.

DEI is fine but they just need to stop pretending it’s represented by black people the most. I don’t mind someone in a wheelchair at work

MAGA rose directly because of the resentment that a Black man was POTUS. Just like anti-Reconstructionism was fueled by resentment of Black men holding political power and Black people having (relative) social and economic freedoms.

Anti- diversity measures are targeted directly at Black people, and anyone else affected is collateral damage.


The wealth, achievement, and opportunity gaps are real. We are at or near the bottom of each index, and are hurt the most when equity measures are ended. White women benefitting the most from DEI isnt necessarily true.

The white women come from the same parents/households and have access to most of the same resources that their white brothers do. And as a result, they dont suffer the same losses in opportunities that Black people do when DEI is cut.
