Yet within government agencies, 9 times out of 10, removal of any and all references to anything DEI-related just happens to be black folk. Interesting how that's working out, since we're not the "target".
You always gonna need allies. And that’s why I said in the future we can’t be standing for everyone’s causes. They have always used our struggle to push their movements to get laws passed that benefit them. And that’s why we not really a big recipient of DEI jobs.
How when we never benefit from it in the first place? I’m not saying we won’t be a casualty of loss in the workforce. Those initiatives that were put in place from DEI in large numbers don’t benefit our people whether black or Latino.Attacking DEI is very much about Black people and other minority groups the same way attacking Affirmative Action was attacked.
The problem with this notion that it's being attacked and dismantled to handicap White women is that White women will hardly struggle to get a job, with or without DEI, Affirmative Action, or whatever other policies that fit these bills.
Unless you're one of these “white women are minorities too” fools, the truth is that they'll get jobs because they are White; first and foremost, being women is a nonfactor compared to the obstacles that Black women, Latino women, etc, would face from bigotry and discriminative practices.
White people, in general, have a much easier chance of finding jobs and being employed with or without any programs (AA, DEI, etc) in place. These types of programs and policies were created for the disadvantaged, such as minorities, disabled individuals, the elderly, etc.
White women are not and never have been at a disadvantage when it comes to employment. Sure, they may have benefited from these services simply being available, but when it's gone, it won't hurt them the same way it'll impact some average inner-city Black, Latino, etc man or woman looking for and maintaining a job.
Our people used military enrollment and later settled in government roles. I know I’m a government employee. I never said we wouldn’t be effected I said we wasn’t the TARGET.
Right so moving forward we should only stand for causes that benefit us. I think the allies and outsiders are the problem. We let other groups of people tell us what and how we should do. The so called allies come in with their own goals get there’s and leave black people with the same problems we had. Case in point BLM.You always gonna need allies.
Just don’t overdue it and keep it real/fair. Black folks were being shown as representing causes that we did not even benefit fairly from… in example DEI
By doing what you’re doing right now and bringing awareness to it.How when we never benefit from it in the first place? I’m not saying we won’t be a casualty of loss in the workforce. Ain't no way. No wonder black Trump supporters are typically the least educated. In what way do programs that eliminating DEI initiatives that are only in place because of inequality in terms of opportunity helping?Right so moving forward we should only stand for causes that benefit us. As a black government employee myself. I’ll be the first to say the quickest way to black middle class has been military and government roles. That being said we are not a big beneficiary of DEI. The numbers don’t lie. I think people see the diversity and connect that with black people.I see what you’re trying to say, but in my opinion, attacking DEI is covertly attacking black government employees from a policy standpoint, and directly attacking black government employees from a political and social standpoint.
I’m not a Trump supporter. Feelings aside cause I don’t deal with that look at the numbers. Who are the biggest beneficiaries of DEI? You automatically that word diversity means black and it doesn’t because the numbers says otherwise. Have it helped other groups of people sure? But they not the face of it. It’s somehow connected to blacks and we not a big recipient.Ain't no way. No wonder black Trump supporters are typically the least educated. I really really hate c00ns that hate liberal ideas around DEI and have no solutions to address the former.
No one calls Tulsi Gabbard a DEI hire
If DEI affects white women, what makes you think it won't affect black women? because black women and blacks in general dont really benefit from dei
So who do you think gets targeted the most when DEI got rolled back, what is the race of the woman who brought the issue of affirmative active to the SC?I’m not a Trump supporter.
