Recently, I've started to understand the philosophy of saving money. Things have been going good. But becoming more fiscally responsible has only shown a light on how irresponsible I've been. I want to start investing my money but, I don't know where to start :damn: I'm 27. I lost out on 5-10 years of compound interest already:damn: I'm going to do my own research of course but, point me to the right direction brehs.....how much money do you need to start an account? Which funds are good to start out with? What are some sites worth checking out? I'm sure there are alot of people just as lost as me....let this thread be a useful tool for them :lupe:

Do you atleast have a 401k? Start with that. Check out higher learning for help. They got a stock thread in there and some other investing threads. Haven't checked it lately myself. I gotta make some moves with what's in my ira.

If you're job % matches 401k contributions do that to start. Next save about 3- 6 months of rent/mortgage, car note, and utilities (in case things go side ways). After you have that cushion start playing with the stock market some. The Robin hood app on the Apple App Store is a good place to trade stocks. When you have $1000+ to play with sit down with a financial advisor.
