As I've gotten older I really don't argue as much. My significant other and I rarely have disagreements about anything anyway.

Sometimes they do, but if they are never acknowledging any wrongdoing they are going to keep repeating it.
Most situations arise in relationships, because an issue came about and neither of the two parties in the relationship handled it correctly.
When that stuff festers over months and even possibly years a relationship can become toxic.
