GFID it is
3 Kings, even having Triple Beam Dreams on it too, Diced Pineapples isn't bad at all, etc.

Personally, i believe that GFID is underrated/overlooked because of the Rich Forever mixtape coming out 6 months prior. People were yearning for some new Ross when the mixtape dropped that January 2012, and it had Triple Beam Dreams & Stay Schemin on it, in particular. Imagine if he would've saved those 2 tracks alone for the album, and then just dropped the album instead of dropping the mixtape at all. Shyt could've been legendary forreal.

Maybach Music IV, Amsterdam, Sixteen, Ten Jesus Pieces and Triple Beam Dreams are better than any song on Mastermind. But I don't think Mastermind has anything as bad as the worst songs on GFID. Mastermind is more consistent from beginning to end, but GFID has higher peaks and lower pitfalls.

I would take an album with no bricks....GFID has at least 4 bricks...

Understandable. But Sixteen, MMIV, Ten Jesus Pieces, and Triple Beam Dreams were all in my 15-20 most-listened to songs from that year. I burned those joints OUT, and still listen to them like crazy. I'm already disinterested in Mastermind, and it's barely been two weeks.

GFID was a very underrated album. 3 kings, pirates, amsterdam, sixteen, maybach music iv, hold me back, so sophisticated, ten jesus pieces, triple beam dreams. album had heat on it. but it also came with some bricks, as someone said. and mastermind is pretty much flawless from the intro to the very end, including the three bonus tracks in the deluxe version.

mastermind is ross' best album and that's an easy decision to make.

Sums it up well, the duds were big duds on GFID and dragged the entire project down but it did have heaters

Mastermind the first album in years where I can honestly say every track at least 4 mics

Ya underdig?
