I said this when GFID first dropped that people were going to claim GFID was when his next album dropped because it's happened with every Ross album. People front on it when it first drops then when the next one comes out, his previous album is amplified in spite of it getting hate or mixed feelings initially.

Ross's lyrics and flows on Mastermind and how cohesive the album is make it >>>>>> GFID. Ross isn't an elite lyricist, never has been, but he's consistently a better rapper on Mastermind than on GFID. There's some "Angels", "Mafia Music 2", and "Devil In A New Dress" caliber verses from Ross on Mastermind. His last album didn't have that.

They do it every time a new Ross album drops. They'll use the previous album as a way to shyt on the current one. That's why hiphop forums are a joke now, too much agenda based posting to take any of it seriously

People do that with most albums though regardless of how good it is. When an album drops/leaks or whatever, people over play the album and then complain when about low replay value because they've played it so many times. It's not like that for everyone, but in a lot of cases, it happens.

Every Ross album has been labeled "Bland" and "Boring" though until the next one drops and that same album that was boring and bland is all of a sudden praised over the latest one. I'm quite sure there's posts in the GFID thread about that album being bland and boring and that Teflon Don, Deeper Than Rap and a couple of Ross mixtapes being >>>>>>>. When Teflon Don dropped, it was labeled boring, bland and even wack and Deeper Than Rap was praised as Ross's best album. Fast forward to now and Teflon Don has been elevated to Ross's best album.
