Great country great people. I love that place. Let's hope that the growth is "good" diversified growth with value addition industries and manufacturing which creates a lot of jobs instead of the typical African growth model of extraction and export of raw materials.

Things have gotten expensive in Accra though. The cost of living is like DC or NY now. I don't like that side of this. Returnee Ghanaians end up taking out loans to get started in life, but there is alot of business opportunity.
No it's not. Oil only just got discovered the past couple years the country. It's only getting started.
Much of the economy currently comes from cocoa. But the president is diversifying the country more into aviation, manufacturing, oil, tourism,etc.
That's because of the high levels of foreign investors buying up large amounts of property in the city There's no reason Accra as it is right now should be that expensive.
The government should also pay attention to developing other cities like Takoradi, Tema, Tamale, Cape Coast. Accra is just too crowded now.
