been around paterson. it doesn't look or seem grimer than other cities in the jerz. i would say the southside of jersey city is harder, man. if you drive in showing off your wealth then yeah, you should be nervous anywhere you go.

true. paterson doesn't even look or seem anywhere as grimey as newark. hell, newark ain't even the grimest city in the jerz. camden is five times worse than newark. at least newark has a downtown area. camden doesn't have shyt.
yeah BUT honestly, i wouldn't be intimidated walking through paterson though. not doubting paterson's gangster BUT i wouldn't be nervous like strolling around newark. jersey city had me fooled, man. i thought they cleaned that city up because it used to look shytty back in the day. some years back, we strolled over to the southside of the city down ocean ave in feburary. needless to say it felt hot over there. it was cold outside BUT yet when we passed through that part, the temperature rose where it was getting hot in the jacket and the thermals. judging from the way everybody was outside on the block and how rundown that spot looked, wouldn't be chilling there like that at anytime. i would say that jersey city was way more intimidating than paterson. paterson just seems like one of those working class places where everybody lives on top of everybody, with a shytload of factories. it seems like all jersey's cities have more shytty parts in them than business area or tourists area though IF they have any.
