Goddamn:ohhh: I look at The Godfather 1 & 2 the same way. Never thought about it for these albums, but you are right.:wow:

These two releases are one of those in an artist discog.
that you could not have one without the other.
Typically to be a success in rap, and have a legendary career.
This usually takes place in that type of artist's discog.

With pat he pretty much wrote the technical rubrick to the slow flow in this sonic landscape singlehandidly.
Where the entire explosive southern run is a play in his technical rubrick skill wise.

Fun fact:

The godfather epic is art barr's favorite long player movie.
It used to be my favorite all time before city of god crushed the cinema filmhouse buildings as the greatest movie ever made.

Let me switch back to the scene, scene of the crime
Where I left all my hopes and dreams, caught me with a 9

:wow:

Coulda sold my own soul just to see the 9 click
Click - then your carcass fall like the gavel fell,
9 years what they gave me, then took me to jail
Did I tell?
:mjcry:

But MDP was strictly on some :myman: start to finish

Did i tell? HELL NAW PROJECT AINT A HOE

I had to listen to both off the strength of this thread, Pat is one of the most unique rappers of all time IMO just based off of his delivery alone, nobody can rap like bruh without soundin just like him. The thing about these albums that shocked me the most though was when I saw an interview where he said he was holdin back on Ghetty Green because he had cases pending at the time and couldn’t go into detail about some of the shyt he was involved in . I was like “nikka what?!” Ghetty Green was rawer to me as far the street shyt but on MDP he had gotten better at storytelling and as a rapper overall both are unquestionable classics though

Impossible to choose, both fire ass albums with some of the best-produced/put-together songs in rap music

And then on Layin Da Smackdown we got blessed with Choose U:blessed:
fukk a international players anthem

Incredibly hard to choose. Both are classics, production and flows are on point throughout. Ghetty Green has a rawer sound, but Mista Don't Play has more polish. Can't go wrong with either.
