“When I was rhyming on “Nutmeg” and “One” on Supreme Clientele, I made a style that I couldn’t even tell what it was,” said Ghostface. “I just wanted to use some words that sounded good with each other and everybody’s trying to decipher what I mean when, really, I don’t even know what it means because I had no beat. But something said, Make a record. Write a verse real quick just putting words together, whether they mean something or not. Just put them together. That’s what I did with “Nutmeg” and “One.” But it was “Nutmeg” that set it off.”

In 2000 XXL Magazine asked him
specifically about the reference and Ghostface’s answer can be applied
to any of the lines, and song titles, even the most slang savvy of listen-
ers are unable to decipher: “nikkas love lasagna, and ziti and all that
shyt. . . . Ziti is good, ziti is hot. My raps is good, the ultimate. . . .
Whatever comes to my mind at that time, even if it’s a word that you’ll
be like, ‘Ghost, what the fukk do this mean?’ I knew what it meant when
I wrote it! It’s like forgetting a thought sometimes.”

He said it with conviction, so he got me to believe, and that’s what matters right?
:manny:

crazy it was all nonsense lol :mjlol:

I thought it was pretty obvious that it was nonsense

I never even considered thinking that the verses meant anything..

I just knew the shyt sounded great on those beats

It's like.. him, Redman, Busta and EM in his prime
Their delivery is so great that I don't really care what they're saying
