I only do for games I’m on the fence on. I have a pretty good sense of whether or not I’m gonna like a game based on gameplay videos and what not. Every now and then I’m on the fence and well written review will help sway me in the right direction.

I like games, i like to get good reviews, so 1) they do well enough to get sequels and 2) the creators don't ruin the games changing everything to please reviewers.
Nba 2k will get one critical tweet then release a game breaking patch to address it. Only to reverse it a week later after the backlash.
