nas wrote all of that shyt when he was 18 or 19, any writer that age has an editor. almost all writers have editors anyway, this is completely different than what people are arguing about now.

It's not even a edit. It's more like a suggestion

Kanye isn't called the best rapper in the game, ontop of that he's a producer :wtf:

Sauce Money wasn't jumping in the booth to show Jay-Z how to ride the "Faceoff" beat, you think Em ever needed anybody to show him?

Agreed. I'm not :cape:ing for no Drake dog

To me he's just an entertainer

Not even a fan

Just saying a lot of dudes have a team of some sort

Bruh, this dude Quentin Miller was writting bars from Drake's perspective :dead: when somebody gotta show you have to ride the beat and what the proper rhyme pattern is you ain't the best rapper in the game, you a pop star and nothing more.

I hope you fakkits that defend Drake understand that you're opening pandoras box, and what comes next is some straight up blonde haired blue eyed white boy from Greenwich CT with tons of connections and a serious writing team while all he has to do is perform and present an image. This isn't singing where having vocals and a strong voice is a talent of it's own, if you can't write your own shyt and need reference tracks you not a rapper.

It's coming, right now some Exec is like "Wait, they don't care that he has writers?"

Gonna get some Chandler Parsons looking muthafukka out there with the best songs in the game soon, all that matter is image and presentation

Dre is WAY ahead of you breh..

i'm gonna put it like this. yes, rappers (even the great ones have gotten help from time to time). yes some were given pointers about flows, technique, lines, etc. this has been part of rap for a while now, i think we can all admit to this. the whole thing about a rapper is suppose to write his own shyt as a cardinal rule is somewhat exaggerated. Cube used to write for Easy. Yet cube's cousin (Del) wrote for him. maybe the rhyme would fit more with someone else, etc etc.

the reason it's a little worse in Drake's case is that it's almost like he was trying to hide it. and also the actual reference tracks makes it look bad. Drake had to be told and shown what to do with the beats. he had to take someone else's swag. it's more than lyrics at this point. Drake bought someone else's essence. It's like you could be a mack/player and come up with your own style, revolutionize the game and people will give it up to you. you might need some pointers here and there on how to get a certain type of chick. maybe some tactics, type of place to take her too, that's all good, players helping eachother out. maybe even get a convo opener from another dude and just try it out to see if the chick will bite. In this analogy, Drake is the dude who paid some dude to fukk the chick he wants while he's watching, taking notes just to emulate his style of fukking. on some cuckold type shyt :huhldup:dude has no style so he pays to buy someone else's speech patterns, voice inflictions and slang. If that's not some cornball shyt...I mean imagine if you find out DMX bought some of his trademark flows. Or if you found out Pac bought the whole "watching me, henessey, enemies etc" style from an up and coming rapper. and not only that, but the unknown rapper had to actually go into the studio, record it so that Pac or DMX could study it. it's really that part that's the most damning. the fact dude had to actually record it so that Drake could reproduce it. Even if Drake changed only took some parts of the actual lyrics, the whole practice is lame.

But i gotta give it to him, he actually came correct against Meek and i actually do think he did that one on his own specifically because of all the accusations. i don't think he would take the risk of someone being able to say "i helped him out on back to back". dude probably locked himself in a room and probably didn't even allow the producer to give him pointers :pachaha:. Drake responded by carrying on Hip Hop tradition while Meek was acting like a chickenhead.
