And Mfs was doing metaphorical/allegory breakdowns on this shyt

respectfully what's basic about this?No shade on 2pac, but lyrically and skill wise how is he an exception? He was the most mediocre basic rapper of all time. I give him credit as an artist, he seemed like he touched on some real issues but as an MC, I'm going to have to disagree, before I get crucified.

All those albums you listed he wasn’t rapping about shyt eitherThis is why Supreme Clientele is arguably my least favorite of his classics and the one I don't revisit much outside of an occasional song or two because, lyrically, it's a very forgettable album and that's not because of his rhymes being wack or anything; it's top-tier rapping, but rather because he was saying a whole lot of nothing. I honestly remember the beats more than the lyrics.
Ironman will always be his best album to me because he was at his peak in terms of his lyrics being thematically top tier similar to Rae during that era, and if I had to rank Ghost's top 5 albums or just his whole discography, it'd go like this...
Ironman
36 Seasons
Fishscale
Bulletproof Wallets
Supreme Clientele
Twelve Reasons to Die (The Brown Tape)
Pretty Toney
Twelve Reasons to Die
Apollo Kids
The Big Doe Rehab
Twelve Reasons to Die 2
Sour Soul
Ghost Files (Bronze/Propane Tapes)
Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City
The Lost Files
There are a few, particularly his newer stuff, that I've never really gotten around to, and some of the above I haven't listened to in a while, so my ranking might be a little sketchy.
Ghost is the type of artist who is better when he has a theme set in motion; on Ironman he was clearly going for a 70s Blaxploitation vibe, and it worked perfectly; on 36 Seasons, he's rapping as a man coming back home after a long stint with an old head 70s vibe. Fishscale and Bulletproof Wallets also have a theme from beginning to end.
Obviously, a few others are self-explanatory.

Will I survive until the morning to see the sun? Please lord forgive me for my sins, cause here I comerespectfully what's basic about this?
"There was no mercy on the streets, I couldn't rest/I'm barely standing bout to go to pieces screaming "peace"/and though my soul was deleted, I couldn't see it/I had a mind full of demons tryna break free/They planted seeds and they hatched, sparking a flame/inside my brain like a match such a dirty game/No memories just the misery/painting a picture of my enemies killing me, in my sleep".
Like KendrickHe’s right that people still be trying decipher the deeper meaning. He’s literally TELLING them it didn’t mean shyt![]()

Not the same. Kendrick is deliberate about what he means and it’s clear, but yes some people may try to find a bunch of “Easter Eggs” that aren’t there. Ghostface admits to rhyming gibberish.Like Kendrick![]()
