A lot of stuff was requested. Never Ghostface. There was a time I remember people requesting Canibus, Ras Kass, even Papoose.

I had him there but it's not realistic anymore.
Too many older mcs consistently rapping at a high level.
Method Man and Black Thought won't make anyone's top 5 but he can't rap with them in 2024.
KRS and Kool Keith are years older but are still capable of writing memorable rhymes. Redman drops random videos when he gets inspired, and many of those songs/freestyles are creative. Styles/Jada/Sheek are still cold.
Nas got a 3rd/4th wind. AZ sounds inspired when he raps.
Ghost has to show some creativity. His music has been tame for 10 plus years. We can't just shoot at everything that shyt is corny. Slick Rick will drop in 2030 and still say some slick shyt. G Rap spit that shyt teeth or no teeth. Tony needs to show me more.

There was a period in the mid to late 00s when Ghost was making better music than all of his 90s peers. Fishscale, More Fish, Big Doe Rehab, Apollo Kids...

consistency, lyrics, storytelling, creativity, beats, song-making... ghost is right there with anybody. but i dont think his impact as a solo artist is on the level of the folks who would likely rank ahead of him.
if the ranking is top 5 artists though? just who was the best at making music? he's in there easy.
