definitely better than Supreme Clientele
Yes...this was the last of the grimier, pre-Forever style production from RZA. There were several beats that were in that transitory style range from 95 RZA to 97/Forever RZA (Assassination Day, Marvel).

It lacks a certain "it"-factor that OB4CL and LS have that make them all time classics, but there are times when I listen to this album that I think it's very underrated. It's not as cohesive thematically as CL & LS, however just b/c it's not as good as CL which is a top 3-5-10 album (my personal favorite all time), doesn't mean it's not an incredible, classic album by any means.

I've always viewed CL as a mafia flick,
LS as a samurai-noire crime flick,
and Ironman as a blaxploitation flick.

I actually think its more cohesive than Cuban Linx

I agree with the mafia flick aspect of it but i feel like Cuban Linx was going in the direction of being somewhat of a concept album but didnt quite execute it whereas Ironman forsure nailed the whole blaxploitation feeling and the way the songs just transitioned into each other smoothly

you can’t go wrong with either one:wow:
