Yes...this was the last of the grimier, pre-Forever style production from RZA. There were several beats that were in that transitory style range from 95 RZA to 97/Forever RZA (Assassination Day, Marvel).
It lacks a certain "it"-factor that OB4CL and LS have that make them all time classics, but there are times when I listen to this album that I think it's very underrated. It's not as cohesive thematically as CL & LS, however just b/c it's not as good as CL which is a top 3-5-10 album (my personal favorite all time), doesn't mean it's not an incredible, classic album by any means.
I've always viewed CL as a mafia flick,
LS as a samurai-noire crime flick,
and Ironman as a blaxploitation flick.
