I think in the future books and essays will be written on that album. It's not just the music that makes it great, it's the writing. It's a great work of poetry and songwriting. I hate to do this, but you slap Bob Dylan's name on the front of the album and people would be saying it's one of the greatest albums period. I don't think Bob Dylan's could write something like this.

They will be teaching classes on supreme clientele in college poetry departments. Mark my words. And just how jazz musicians got lionized, so will the hip hoppers of our time.

This was a couple days ago, but since no one else has pointed it out, are you aware that both Aquemini and Black on Both Sides dropped before Supreme Clientele?

So neither one would have anything to do with the statement that no album since Supreme Clientele has touched it.
