Both are fraudulentSo ur actually tryna convince people that vocal effects and mixed and mastered vocals is worse than having a ghostwriter? Do yall nikkas be bored? Or high before yall make these threads. Imma say a combination of both.
nikka I mix music I know exactly what u talkin bout. Problem is u talkin bout hip hop and not pop or RnB. nikkas main goal in the studio when spittin ain't to have a great singing voice. So it's not fraudulent to have effects on the vocals to cut thru the track.Breh, this is real simple. Brittany Spears cannot sing worth shyt and she's a mega star. Christina Aguilara can sing. Both use effects but an engineer has to spend way more time to make Brittany sound decent. Who do you respect more if the finished product is good on both.
Uber editing and effects is fraudulent. Ghostwriting is fraudulent. Get it?
These nikkaz sing their raps though homie. When they harmonize and use melodiesnikka I mix music I know exactly what u talkin bout. You ever notice an artist sounds fukkin great when they're on a major label then they go independent and it sounds like they lost a step? Or vice versa?
What do you mean "cut through"?nikka I mix music I know exactly what u talkin bout. Problem is u talkin bout hip hop and not pop or RnB. nikkas main goal in the studio when spittin ain't to have a great singing voice. So it's not fraudulent to have effects on the vocals to cut thru the track.
Nikka my raps sound better than 90% of the industryIs that why you on here and not rappin'?
Better me than these jabrones, my nikka...
But that's fine. Cause they aren't claiming to be great singers. And aren't particularly in a genre of music that requires singing. The whole point of professional mixing and mastering is to take the rawness out of a record. U can't achieve that without certain effects and layering vocals. These nikkaz sing their raps though homie. When they harmonize and use melodies
Nikkaz can say whatever but Ludacris sound exactly the same live. That's why I respect him. Young thug and future sound like shyt live. They still creative dope artist though
I'm not even.
So the beat doesn't drown out the vocals. The vocals lay in the beat and are not overpowered by the beat. Literally cutting thru the beat. Doing adlibs. Doubles. In and outs. Adding delay. Reverb. Noise Gate. Etc Etc help round out the track and make the vocals and overall song sound "fuller". U take all of that out u don't have a professional sounding recording. What do you mean "cut through"?
It's fine for who? The general public doesn't know how shytty they really sound. It's actually shocking. But that's fine. Cause they aren't claiming to be great singers. Dude they sound shytty with all the effects as well. I don't think anyone is expecting great voices out of these dudes. Atleast I hope not. The vocal effects they use is more for style reasons than anything. They not tryna fool nobody. Sounds to me like u had a first time experience in the studio recently or some shyt.
