Yeah from my experience South is soda or coke, Midwest is pop, i tend to say Soda now though these days. Midwest is a mixed bag from cats migrating from the South back in the day. I've always heard both sayings up here with pop being more popular.

If you've ever been around a REAL OLD head they'll say Soda Pop, it's been derived from that over time.

I really dont think none of yall are wrong, Timberlake is a Tennessee cat and wrote 'Pop' but I question how much of that he penned/was his vision considering that chump Wade Robson was writing a lot for NSYNC back then.
