I don’t know man, who hates Dikembe or Dirk or Hakeem? Maybe I missed that. I just think that Giannis is a dude who came out of nowhere and people have trouble getting behind that because of confirmation bias. KD, ironically, who a guy like Jack champions, was one of the original Giannis advocates. I think it’s just envy honestly. CJ and them talked spicy about KD in GSW too.

Yes it was a different time but one came through Houston and the other through John Thompson. Giannis is seen as much more of an outsider.

Which superteams do you feel have been outperformed by the bucks cast?
The Khris, Jrue, Lopez, Pat, Tucker, Teague cast was statistically superior, more available/healthy, and more clutch than the 2012 Wade, Bosh, Chalmers, Miller, Battier, Cole, and Haslem cast.

Sources: Wade's knee drained prior to Game 3

Heat's Bosh has MRI, ruled out indefinitely

On the contrary it was Giannis who missed time while LeBron had to be an ironman playing up to 48 minutes. Khris and Jrue were healthy the entire run.

The Giannis/Khris/Jrue trio from a basketball standpoint as far as fit is more compatible than James/Wade/Bosh as well.

Giannis did not have to take on the toughest defensive assignments on-ball he had significantly less possessions on Durant in the ‘21 ECSF than LeBron did in the ‘12 Finals. P.J. and Jrue took on D-Book, Durant, Trae, Jimmy Butler all those guys. Giannis could focus on rim protection, P&R defense, rebounding. LeBron had to do that stuff too and also defend elite perimeter players for substantial possessions.

Khris Middleton hit 15 go ahead/game tying shots in the 4Q these playoffs the most since ‘07 LeBron in the last 25 seasons. LeBron was the one who had to close games out and hit daggers on the perimeter. Imagine it was Dwyane Wade hitting all those shots? LeBron haters would have a ball.

People calling the Bucks a super team.
:russ:

Middleton is a very good player, but he isn’t elite. Middleton is the type of guy that will occasionally make an all star team but will most likely always be an underrated but reliable player.
Holiday is a defensive stopper against smaller guards.
PJ Tucker is a 3 and D guy.
Lopez is a serviceable center.
Bobby Portis is energy off the bench.
Connaughton and Teague as well at this point in his career are classic bench guys in today’s NBA.

Outside of Giannis none of those other guys have ever even made an All NBA team.

I like Stephen Jackson, but he’s just pushing any old narrative because he either doesn’t like Giannis and the Bucks or he’s trying not to invalidate other guys that he likes for teaming with other superstars to win titles.

Lets be reality Bucks looked dominant against a team that cant defend Giannis in b2b series.....They had a fortunate path to a title and that at ttimnes made them look like world beaters but this isnt even close to a superteam....

Idk

I didn’t watch the whole clip but I kinda agree with Stephen Jackson as far as diminishing your teammates

What Giannis said sounded a lil self serving imo

All he did was talk about how everyone (The Media) wanted him to go join a super team and he wanted to stay and win with Milwaukee. These are simply facts. He DID stay when he had the opportunity to leave and go wherever. He did what he set out to do.

Its the same thing as Lebron last year saying he wants his damn respect. This isn’t diminishing of teammates, this is acknowledging the astronomical pressure put upon superstar players to achieve, and when they DO achieve demanding that the praise be as loud as the criticism.

Giannis was told he was Robin all playoffs and went out in Game 6 of the NBA Finals and dropped 50. He can talk his shyt.
