Defense and rebounding are more hustle and effort than skill. Not to mention natural gifts like height and length make you automatically better at those. That’s part of mine and Giannis’ point. Natural gifts undoubtedly help in every facet of the game, but shooting (helps in getting off clean shots) and dribbling don’t rely as much as those things you named. Ability to finish is a skill, I’ll concede that. We giving credit to NBA players being able to dribble up and down a court now?

Giannis is a good player but you tried to downplay players being better at like the two main standout skills in ball. No idea why you’re bringing up Kyrie like I ever did, stop adding straw men to discussions.
You're downplaying players like Giannis Zion and Lebron because they aren't playmaking shot creators on 2k

And just like Dame, Giannis has shaped this perception where folks are more likely to romanticize his game because of what he says.

It's funny how there was once upon a time a contingent on this board that would completely underrate his game, even making a mockery out of it, but over the last 1-2 seasons, there's been this grand shift where it's gone in the opposite direction. They overrate almost every he does now and it seems he can't do any wrong.

Naturally that's going to happen to some degree after you win a chip, but it's interesting how so many on this board believe he's been this dominant player all season when it couldn't be further from the truth.

Giannis was better last year and 2019-20.

But still MVP caliber

Giannis and Embiid both paid the cost to be the boss. Both of them would make worthy MVP’s this season with the slight edge going to Embiid

Them two, on the same team, would be the most obnoxious and exciting front court we’ve ever witnessed. I don’t know how anyone can hate on either one…. Maybe knicks fans, but I can’t understand anybody else.

Offensively he isn’t more gifted than KD and Curry
You’re confusing them being more skilled and working harder than him at it and being basketball geniuses to gifts. Giannis is more physically gifted than both Curry and Durant. He may be one of the 5 most physical gifted players ever and that plus his mentality is why he is dominant. Giannis came into the league trying to be a Durant-like player and couldn’t and they molded him into what he is. He got drafted purely off physical tools and potential. Steph Curry was overlooked and had to go to college multiple years and revolutionized the sport. This is absurd to claim he is more talented than Giannis. He’s just way more skilled through his effort.

Curry wasn't overlooked per say what held him back was he was too skinny. In NC everyone admitted he was one of the best shooters in the state. Him going to Davidson and putting that school on the map and his run through the NCAA was one of the goat runs in college bball history up there with kemba Walker's run.. So again yes Gannis is more physical than both Durant and Curry but offensively he is not on their level at all

You can say this about most athletes but people find ways. Giannis is still in that honeymoon phase of his popularity where people haven’t turned on him like they did other stars.
Didnt they do this when they say he needed a jumper to win a title and Richard Jefferson said he might have been a Robin?

I think we are just arguing over definitions. Your skinny point is literally what I am saying. Imagine if Giannis with his size could shoot like Steph? We are talking about the greatest basketball player ever by a large margin.
