Great for the NBA...

If he stays the entire way he's still only 30 at the end of it and will be a huge fight for him in '25 free agency...

He'll go down as the most popular Buck player ever. I'm not sure they win a title until I see he has that it factor in the playoffs, but great for him and great for the NBA...

I bet ESPN is furious as hell :mjlol:

No Giannis trade talk content this season :mjlol:

About to make breh into a villain because of it :mjlol:

this kills the offseason talk AND with Booker getting help and Beal being real clear about wanting to stay in Washington, it pretty much comes down to where Harden goes, because Zion is way too far off.

Can’t build storylines based on where Oladipo and Aaron Gordon and Myles Turner wind up at.

Nah, ESPN still has plenty to eat off of.

Harden situation probably isn't getting resolved this season.

Potential Brooklyn fukkery

Panic over Milwaukee potentially blowing another season with Giannis

Kawhi can still opt out next offseason, right?

Klay injury recovery

Impact of playing two seasons damn near back to back for Lebron (depending on what kind of run they make)

And that's just off the top of my head. When the NBA closes a fukkery door, they open a fukkery window.

The media won't be too pleased about this, of course.

The Giannis Sweepstakes is one gigantic storyline completely GONE.
:mjlol: Contracts don’t mean shyt when it comes to star players. If the Bucks haven’t made the finals in the next two years them trade talks are going to start

Kinda anticlimactic isn't it :ld:. I mean where could he have realistically gone? Nobody has any cap room. GSW never had it (which is why their inclusion was always a joke). LALand MIA just tied theirs up. I guess Dallas was a maybe because of Luke being on his rookie deal. And then you got the uncertainty with the cap over the next couple years. It was fun to talk about but it was becoming increasingly obvious that this was his only real option.

I guess they still could potentially have Kawhi bouncing from LA after this season (I don't believe he will) and Harden doesn't really move the needle like that or change up the face of the league. I'm sure they will figure out another way to drum up content although it won't be as interesting as the "Giannis sweepstakes."
