But has he? If he plays like an MVP/DPOY they have but enough around him to get to the Finals. That said, not sure why a coaching change wasn't made. I guess he probably likes Bud but his squads have a tendency to ball out in the regular season and flame out in the playoffs.
Nah, they need a shot creator than can score on all 3 levels like a Lillard, Steph, Trae, Irving.

As long as Giannis is missing that and playing as a driving and kicking play initiator and having to iso 20 feet away from the basket they won’t win.
:mjlol: Yall are so used to superstars running from the grind as soon as they face the slightest adversity that you're mad at a star re-signing with an organization that has consistently shown that they're willing to make the moves/additions to compete for a championship. You're acting like Giannis just re-signed to a KG in Minnesota like situation. The Bucks put together a very talented roster around Giannis and they've been at a 60+ win pace the past two seasons. They didn't rest on their laurels and upgraded their roster this offseason. Not to mention Giannis is still 26 years old and going to get better. I'm sure he believes in himself and his team to get over the hump. It seems like yall are rooting against him because you're mad he didn't go to some big market or form a superteam to make the league "more interesting". Don't project your loser mentalities on Giannis.
:mjlol: don’t make it deeper than what it is he took an unprecedented amount of money and if they don’t win in the next 2-3 seasons he will request a trade.

The Bucks also didn’t upgrade their roster they have peaked and are stagnant.

Good for Giannis and the Bucks.

Losing out on bogdanovich was a huge blow but I fully expect the bucks to be in the ECF vs the nets barring any injuries.

Donte DiVincenzo as a starter will be a better fit than Bogdanovic (who is a gunner for the record)

They need to fix the Super Max where the the Super Max money outside of of the regular MAX isn't counted against the cap. Small market team aren't gonna be able to afford to be a tax team.

It really makes SuperMax look stupid and gives more leverage to clearing out cap, tanking, and building super teams witj FA "discount" Max.

If anything players you draft not counting towards the tax would help more than against the cap :yeshrug:

Kinda anticlimactic isn't it :ld:. I mean where could he have realistically gone? Nobody has any cap room. GSW never had it (which is why their inclusion was always a joke). LALand MIA just tied theirs up. I guess Dallas was a maybe because of Luke being on his rookie deal. And then you got the uncertainty with the cap over the next couple years. It was fun to talk about but it was becoming increasingly obvious that this was his only real option.

Why?

I think it means more for the long term health of The League that a marquee player in his prime isn't (yet at least) interested in playing for anyone other than the team that drafted him. I was listening to Simmons the other day and I agree with a point he made that NBA fan culture in general has drifted towards rooting for players over teams and how that presents a huge disadvantage to the noncoastal teams, as the best players typically play in the biggest cities and on the coasts...

So from that standpoint I think this is great for the NBA...

Giannis isn’t winning there the Bucks have peaked.

He’ll get bounced in the ECSF and ECF a few more times and then request a trade.

The bag was too much for him to pass on.

This is my sentiment too. Subject to change if he shows he has an extra gear in the postseason, but as of now I can't imagine him winning a title in Milwaukee...
