I'd take Embiid provided he's going to be healthy, better scorer in the halfcourt, better shooter, more aggressive and elite interior defender.

I do admit that this is true but its just preference for me.

Historically, perimeter players make better offensive anchors even with deficiencies. Like you said, pair him with a half court ISO guy like Kyrie.

And give me Giannis' defensive versatility over Embiid. Thats not to say Embiid isn't versatile but Giannis is no slouch interior defender, either.

I agree about perimeter players being better offensive anchors because they don't need anyone to get them the ball. But, what I've seen from Embiid is a unique skill set in that he's dangerous in the post, off the pick and pop and off the dribble. The various ways he scored last year and the pressure he applied (8ft a game in 25 mpg) on the defense was just :picard:

In the current small ball era having a C like Embiid is going to be a gamebreaker, especially with Simmons at the 4. He can score 1 on 1, hit the three and make free throws, there's no way to play him off the floor.

Giannis I think has learned from bron and willing to make that move earlier for his legacy.

Dudes talk crazy on thecoli, at the end of the day he is the most talented young player in the league though and the gap between him and everyone else is wide. Health is an issue, what isn't an issue is that his production when he played was ridiculous, people only talk about the offense but his defensive impact was better than Gobert. The crowning is always prefaced by "If he can stay healthy" because that'[s realistically the only thing that can stop him.

The process worked cause they got Fultz, Simmons, TLC, Korkmaz etc in addition to Embiid, even if Embiid doesn't pan out the Sixers got what they wanted which is high lottery picks. I don't agree that Philly wont be anything without him, but he's what would make them a title contender in the future.
:patrice: I don't know about this breh. What's your age limit for "young player"

AND nikkaS WERE TALKING CRAZY.

COUPLE THAT WITH EVERYONE
SAYING THE PROCESS WORKED
WHEN HES PLAYED 31 GAMES IN 3 SEASON
IS ALSO A JOKE.

IVE SAID BEFORE
PHILLY WONT BE THE FUTURE OF ANYTHING
IF HE CANT STAY ON THE COURT.

HES BEEN ON THE COURT LESS THAN ODEN...
LESS THAN POST ACL TEAR ROSE...

I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND THE PREMATURE CROWNING.

IM ROOTING FOR HIM TO STAY HEALTHY.

He been on the court less than Orlando grant Hill or post acl Penny.

I refuse to anoint him too til he's proven his durability. Coli gone soft. Heads used to roast unhealthy players.
