There was no reason to even bring him up fakkitsurprised that Jokic has not done that.
But yeah Giannis could put up Jokic numbers if the offense ran through him in a different way.

He’s better at making personnel decisions than Pat Riley has been post Heatles.
I’d take Embiid out of that list, other than that I agree with everything you said. Giannis was my MVP for 2023, and had him 3rd last year (Luka, then Shai)It's kinda cool but also unfortunate that we have about 5-6 generational talents in the league at the same time (Jokic, Giannis, SGA, Luka, Embiid*, and soon Wemby) who have/will continue to hinder each other's future "all-time" narratives. aka They're all right there as top 15-20 talents, but only so many MVPs, scoring titles, rings, first team selections, etc., to "validate" it.
Not even getting to someone like Anthony Davis who is everything people pretended Rasheed Wallace could be.. aka the perfect hybrid of Duncan and KG, but AD never had the durability or proper career decisions. He's one of the most talented pfs ever but missed his shot for at least a one-off mvp like Malone and Barkley were able to get.
*And yea at this point Embiid as kinda hindered his own self.
They also using this narrative to push for Joker's campaignYep. The online and analytical cacs have been on a crusade with dikk riding Jokic. You can see how they've been downplaying the team around to have the excuses in place for the next couple of years of them not winning anything.

Exactly. They bring up how Jokic has never played with an all star, like Jamal Murray isn’t an all star caliber player who’s been their closer a lot of times. Like Aaron Gordon wasn’t the player who put them over the top when he got traded to them. Michael Porter Jr. is averaging 18 and 7 this season. In fact, these are players who average double digits for the Nuggets:Yep. The online and analytical cacs have been on a crusade with dikk riding Jokic. You’re saying media won’t make this the top story and talk about how Giannis is something we’ve never seen before?![]()
Where's all the smoke for Giannis losing 1-3 in the 1st round and only having one playoff win in over 1000 days? It’s different with Jokic though. I’ve seen people on TV say he’s the best player and it’s not even close. White boys online been riding Jokic something serious too.
Ironically though, Joker is having the career people thought Luka would have. I remember when Luka was predicted to win MVP like 3 years in a row, and he doesn’t have one yet.
Why should there be smoke? Since they won the championship:Where's all the smoke for Giannis losing 1-3 in the 1st round and only having one playoff win in over 1000 days?

Seems like a whole lot of excuses to me that you wouldn't afford to the player you were ultimately making this thread about. Why should there be smoke? Since they won the championship:
2022 - lost in game 7 against the Celtics (who had home court and ultimately went to the Finals)
2023 - injured in game one against Miami, came back for game 4, but clearly wasn’t 100%. Plus their coach kept using a smaller Holiday to guard Jimmy Butler in single coverage.
2024 - missed entire playoffs
2025 - Dame wasn’t 100% and ultimately suffers serious injury. Should’ve won yesterday. That loss wasn’t because of him.
Milwaukee was never some stacked team, even when they won the championship.
Let’s do this for Denver. Since they won the championship:Seems like a whole lot of excuses to me that you wouldn't afford to the player you were ultimately making this thread about.

I'm glad it finally makes sense now that this board holds Jokic to a different standard than they do Giannis.Ah, I see why @Gil Scott-Heroin is on this weird crusade advocating for the board blaming Giannis more
It makes sense now![]()
