I don’t remember hearing about this at all in April :dwillhuh:

Yeah, I was shocked that I hadn't heard jack shyt about it either. Reading between the lines I think the family just wanted to keep it out of the news until Drew could choose to tell the public what happened on his own terms. Since it was in the middle of everything going crazy due to the pandemic, the fact that he wasn't available anymore must have just slipped by everyone's radar.

I don’t think you understand about how depression and suicidal ideation and attempts work ...

although I won’t be definitive like @-o3- , he’s coming from a real place that statistically supported.

“A common yet highly inaccurate belief is that people who survive a suicide attempt are unlikely to try again. In fact, just the opposite is true. Within the first three months to a year following a suicide attempt, people are at highest risk of a second attempt — and this time perhaps succeeding.

A recent analysis of studies that examined successful suicides among those who made prior attempts found that one person in 25 had a fatal repeat attempt within five years.”

Shyt is not a game :usure:

Pray for that man , and wish him well in his recovery . Gonna be a long road but hopefully he keeps good people around him and resists the urge to turn inward .

Trust me, I know. There's no guarantees, and like you and someone else pointed out the risk is definitely there. But the dude I quoted basically said he WILL try it. Every situation is different & his story is very unique, so saying that he WILL attempt it again no matter what, seems dumb.
