LOL @ that list of overpaid fukking WRs up there. Nicks is worth this pretty much, I guess. I don't think he's all that, personally, but he deserves the contract for the most part. I wouldn't even pay this to Nick's fragile ass. Give that nikka a franchise tag for a year if he is able to make it through this season without injury. He gets a years huge payday and the ability to prove that he's not just a china doll

Never had a doubt it'd be done before camp anyway.

Nicks is coming next...before camp too. :smugdraper:

Not sure if you're clowning Nicks and cruz for last year, which is fair, but virtually nothing in the playoffs?

Game 1 vs Falcons: Nicks = 6 rec, 115, yds, 2 TDS / Cruz = 2 rec, 28 yds, 0 TDs

Game 2 vs Packers: Nicks = 7 rec, 165, yds, 2 TDS / Cruz = 5 rec, 74 yds, 0 TDs

Game 3 vs 49ers: Nicks = 5 rec, 55, yds, 0 TDS / Cruz = 10 rec, 142 yds, 0 TDs

Super Bowl vs Patriots: Nicks = 10 rec, 109, yds, 0 TDS / Cruz = 4 rec, 25 yds, 1 TDs

So lemme get this straight, their starting X & Z receivers, over a 4 game span vs. top level competition (and in 2 cold weather venues where being able to run the ball in January is a premium), produced a combined 49 rec, 713 yds, & 5 TDs, and you consider that producing virtually nothing in the playoffs?

I agree they were no shows for that, but the bigger problem may lie at QB. Yes, he's unflappable in the 4th quarter, but far too often he stinks for the first three. If not for getting hot at the right time twice in his career, people would be re-assessing his value as a QB. He's probably the biggest boom or bust QB I've ever seen: you're either gonna win a SB with him or you're a one and done or miss the playoffs completely. Outside of the 2 SBs (which, let's face it, the collective DL should have been SB MVP both times, especially in 2008), the rest of his career has been, well, tantamount to a guy like Dave Krieg's. Not bad enough to move on from, but not good enough to surround with inferior talent that he can make better. Somewhere in Olivia's womb, he picked up a trait for "clutch" that Peyton missed, I'll give him that, but it's time for him to wear his big-boy, dominant QB pants wire to wire, and not just save it for a hot streak in December & January.

I dunno, I always thought that was a title more reserved for qbs who could win a lombardi but havent lived up to the potential, although eli is shaky alot more than he used to be in crunch time

The biggest boom or bust qb to me would be either romo or tebow, and i'm leaning more towards romo because he let that off the field bullshyt with jessica simpson fukk with his game
