AI had a legendary motor. nikka used to never get tired....like literally...they say he was some type of genetic freak. Heard a story of him at Georgetown where he ran full speed on a treadmill for 85 mins straight....shattered the endurance record. And the coaches literally had to go grab him off cause he kept going.

So I get where Gilbert is coming from....kinda torturous dealing with a cat running full speed at u all game long :ehh:
I believe this ridiculous ass shyt :wow:

AI was a beast

Might get negged for this but for the first few years AI > Kobe, then Kobe took over for the rest of their careers

Kobe used to look up to AI, studied his game, and then AI used to look up to Kobe, two greats of an era

Just imagine how good AI was being 6 foot and being one of the best offensive players of time

Of course being shorter meant he was gonna be slightly faster than everybody else

no reason to get negged, AI was 21 when he was a rookie and definitely had the upper hand the first few years. I’d say 01 they were about the same and after that it was kobe. AI is that nikka though period I don’t take slander about him lightly :demonic:

i wouldn't doubt hes hard to defend as an individual, but not so much so as a team led by him.

jus let iverson shoot them out the game lol

Case in point, the year after his mvp season: 30ppg on 28 shots per game, a 39% field goal percentage (29% from 3), and 10 freethrow attempts a game

It's funny that someone like a Trae Young is actually as good if not better than Iverson through their first 7 seasons... AI averaged 3-4ppg more but also shot the ball 5-6 more times than a Trae who had higher shooting splits, TS% and PER... but Trae plays in a stronger era than that weak early 00s East, and is subjected to greater scrutinity for being an inefficient small guard.

And i say that as someone who doesn't even think highly of Trae like that, but Trae would bust Gil's ass too in a 1-4 flat. So would Donovan Mitchell.
