He thinks hell cook Teague but is scared to play Pat Bev. How does that work?
Easy
-Pat Bev never had any expectations on him other than being loud and diving on the floor for possessions. Proving you are better than him offensively does absolutely nothing.
- BJ has a top 5 offensive game in the history of basketball as a rookie, up there with Wilt. The only other player from the 2000's in the top 15 is Trae Young. Again, what does a game against Pat Bev prove to anyone? At least Teague had a season where they dominated the league with him playing meaningful minutes.
-Teague is also retired for real and only hoops casually with friends and teaching his HS team, it's an even playing field, Bev is still an active professional hooper, why is he trying to play against retired guys? Shouldn't his comp be other guys still playing?
-Teague is BJ's peer, and they both stated they had a little rivalry between them going back to rookie tryouts for teams, Pat Bev doesn't fit in that conversation at all, he just saw some shyt going on that he wasn't part of and he's trying to bait someone to let him in the club so they clowned him for it.
Imagine someone like Udonis Haslem calling out LeBron for a 1v1 while he's in the middle of setting it up with KD or Carmelo.... we'd all be hoping Bron ignores him because he NEVER was on that level, regardless of how many wolf tickets he put out there it just wouldn't make sense
You can't just let any rando with a platform talk themselves into contention with you. Pat spent his whole career tryna bark at people who were clearly higher than him on the totem pole, why are you falling for his shtick now?
When Dillon Brooks retires do you REALLY wanna see him go 1v1 with people who were legit superstars during the same time?
