The fights being meaningless didn't mean that random kids were getting punched, kicked or stomped. I agree we weren't fighting over life decisions or circumstances. But if you were getting punched, hit, kicked, pushed, you were in the shyt or into some shyt. You weren't just going to class, doing your homework, going to lunch and getting punched out of nowhere.

I used to teach and work Parks & Rec so I've broken up a few fights. I'm going by what admin and other teachers told me after the fact. I never got in trouble, but I see how a situation can unintentionally go left. Not everybody is willing to put their physical and professional well-being on the line for the protection of a student. They rather call someone else to do so and pray they get there in time.
