The first couple episodes of season 1 i think they were just trying to get the feel right. It hits its stride around when Shawn comes in.
Season 2 has been really good for the most part.

People seem to forget the first 2 BMW seasons were kiddy as shyt. GMW is already WAY more mature then BMW was at first.
