I was going to say exactly the same. When the old lease is about 3 months towards the end. Get another apartment, gradually get your things over there. Might have to leave the TV cause she'll say you stole from her, unless you have info verifying you purchased it and other goods. Get your clothes and only things that are obviously yours. Tell her you'll help her pay the last 3 months normal rent or bills but you are done. Save receipts. My thinking is this gives you an out and shows that you held up obligations and didn't leave her high and dry. You gave her time to adjust. Don't tell her your new home.

I'm basing much of this on daytime courtroom TV, so you can have a good response everytime the judge goes
