I must be lucky then... mine told me the other day she wished she could cook more. She enjoys that shyt a great deal but with both of us working we're on the weekly meal prep lane now to save time.

As far as cleaning... let's just say I'm glad I have her. A problem I have is when I get the gumption up to thoroughly clean something, I don't want it used/messed back up until the next day at minimum :snoop:

It seems as if you consider cooking a "wifely" duty but somehow him paying your RENT is not a "husbandly" duty and I for one am :gucci: at how strongly you got over on him before y'all got married.

But hey... if that was allowed, that was allowed :hubie:

wasn’t trying to get over on him, definitely not that type of person, I just lived on my own and was in school so I didn’t have free time to make him food or go to his and clean it up for him. He would come to my house to get food a lot though and we went out a lot. I told him plenty of times that he didn’t have to pay my rent because my dad and stepdad would pay it but he wanted to. To be clear I cook for him all the time now and my house stays clean.

When me and my husband were just bf and gf I rarely cooked for him and I only cleaned up messes I made at his house unless he was sick then I would cook and clean. Now I do it all, all the time. Bfs don’t get husband treatment tf

just like when we were just bf & gf he didn’t pay all my bills just rent, hair, and nails. :yeshrug:

But I guess since you guys already live together it’s different :mjpls: you should tell her that you want her to cook for you and that she needs to clean. If she doesn’t, leave her. :manny: life is too short to be with someone that doesn’t provide what you need.

Rent is bills. That's like 35% of your income:skip:

I know that’s why I said he didn’t pay all of them. Just some. It was way less than that for him and he owned his house so he was paying like 1000 for mortgage plus my $1790 so it wasn’t too much for him (his words not mine).

Rent is a major bill. If he paying rent he might as well pay everything else.:mjlol: That's not a drop in the bucket. You talking like he was paying the light bill or internet. $1000 is A LOT of money for someone who you aren't married to.

A chick that can't/won't cook isn't girlfriend material to begin with. That's the thing that kills me about a lot of these women now they feel they are entitled to date men that they supposedly find attractive, a big income, etc., but lack basic essentials from the jump.

I'm not saying that a woman is supposed to cook for a man 24/7 but it says A LOT when said person doesn't want to cook or clean. It's so damn lazy. Cooking should be taught when you're young whether it's male or female so you don't have to rely on anyone to do shyt for you.

I guess people just see things differently because it wasn’t a big deal to him.
