Those are two gigantic "if" statements there. I agree tho, so long as rotations fit the opponent well.If this is the AD we get the rest of the season, I'm not picking anybody against them as long as LeBron is healthy. Even w/o LeBron, they could scare everybody in the league.
I like the thought, only issue is that if Caruso-KCP-Bron-AD-Gasol is your starting lineup, who is playing defense in the 2nd unit?Keep Caruso in the starting lineup....Bring Dennis off the bench.

Schroder is good defensively. Kuzma and Morris are solid as well.I like the thought, only issue is that if Caruso-KCP-Bron-AD-Gasol is your starting lineup, who is playing defense in the 2nd unit?
That's what I've been pushing for over a year, the only issues are:I'd start Morris with AD......Morris is at his best when he's getting consistent minutes and playing alongside a defensive big, the same goes for Trezz. Morris was giving us double-digit production as a starter before and after Lebron went down.
Starting frontcourt- AD/Morris
Bench frontcourt- Gasol/Trezz
Out of the rotation- Drummond/Kuz
Schroder has a bunch of defensive energy but he gives up a lot of easy plays too by being out of position or getting beat when he shouldn't. If you pair him with McLemore you have a backcourt that's gonna get torched. THT is a weird fit next to Schroder and you'd have no shooting in the backcourt. And Matthews is close to unplayable. So I don't see anyone other than Caruso/KCP being a good backcourt partner for Schroder in the playoffs.Schroder is good defensively. Kuzma and Morris are solid as well.

They aren't going to do hockey shift changes in the playoffs. It'll be a mix of starters and second unit guys. That's what I've been pushing for over a year, the only issues are:
A. AD doesn't want to play center
B. Markieff has made 1 of his last 30 threes. That's not hyperbole. He's 22% from 3pt going back to the beginning of April, actually if you take out a hot 5-game stretch in March then he's only shooting 28% from 3pt from the year. Hopefully he can shoot at least well enough in the playoffs for teams to respect him, but if he continues like this he's not going to be worth it.

And I don't see Kuzma/Morris/Trez or Kuzma/Trez/Drummond or any other combination in the frontcourt working defensively at all. Especially if the guards are getting beat. And they're not gonna make enough offense to make up for it.
The solution for the playoffs is probably to forget about units and keep some of those starters on the floor at all times. I would say always make sure that either Caruso or KCP is on the court even if both are starting, and always make sure either AD or Gasol is on the court even if both are starting.
