Get you a job that pays the bills. Pursue your passion off-hours until your passion to can be a full-time job.

I see you said music. What city you live in? There's really only 3 maybe 4 cities you can really pursue music in the US if you're serious about it.

I live in Atlanta and actually have connections. I'm just being scary about it.

Go for money and stop fantasizing about “passion”. Keep your credit in good shape, don’t get any women pregnant, and always be on your Ps and Qs.

Don’t get pulled over for bullshyt like no seatbelt, not coming to a complete stop, or running a red light at 3am.

Don’t discuss your personal life at work. Get yourself a well fitted suit, a collection of tasteful ties, nice dress shoes, a good wool button down coat, and dress shirts. Even if you don’t wear suits to work, good business clothes come in handy.

Eat healthy food, don’t do drugs, and most importantly, only you can prevent forest fires.

Young breh..

Remember that experience is the best teacher! The only way you will know what your calling or passion is to go out there and take chances.

If you want to get into the music business, then decide what part of the business you want to work in. Since you are a marketing major, then start using your connections to get an intern gig with a label, either indie or major.

You will need a regular gig to sustain yourself, so apply for a decent gig that can keep up afloat and go out on your off hours and off days and start networking by going to clubs, music venues and chop it up with people who may be in a part of the game that intetests you.

Lastly, stop being scary! Learn to it allow mental blocks thwart your progress in life. Life is about taking chances and there will always be obstacles that will come your way.

How your deal with them will determine whether you will succeed or fail. If you fail, just know that it is only a temporary setback. Learn from your mistakes, seek advice from someone who is experienced and knowledgeable about whatever issue you may come across and apply said advice to correct the mistake.

Just know that you still got a while life ahead of you, so make the best of things while you are going, healthy and not tied down to any major responsibilities.

Good luck!

Get your degree and join the military if you're so unsure about life.

It will give you time to get paid, get experience, travel the world, and make money.

Depending on your degree, if it correlates with your job choice you will get major experience.

By the time you get out at 30, not only will you most likely have a masters, you will have a ton of experience, benefits, most likely job opportunities, have traveled the world, and money saved. Even if you decide to change careers, you would still be young enough to do it and military still has a vocational rehab program that can help you switch careers or you could just go back to college

1. Work is work, if it was fun they'd make you pay to show up. Forget about all these cats spinning "start a business, or you're a c00n" bullshyt. If you're willing to put in an honest 40 hr week, you'll do well in just about any career that requires a degree. Don't let your job take away your free time to enjoy your life and family and freinds.
2. Any job that expects you to consistently be there for more than 40-50/week is trash. It never works out in the end. People in those jobs are always the ones who quit and decide to go start a low stress BS job like owning a used bookstore.
3. If you DO decide to start a business, accept that it may or may not pan out and you WILL be putting in mad hours to keep it going unless youre one of the lucky few who strike it rich.

Marketing major and I'm from the A

I know I can get a decent gig. My problem is I don't want some office job or some computer based gig.

I'm very interested in the music industry tho
You and me are kinda in the same predicament, but I'm a 21 and a Finance major in Cali attempting to become an agent for athletes and entertainers. I'd say since you're interested in the music industry, try and get an internship anyway you can, and possibly think about grad school for your MBA or law school to learn how to read contracts.

Good luck

Isolate yourself for a spell and really ponder on where you want to see yourself at age 30. Then create a plan of action to help you step by step to get to that goal.

Stop talking about "dreams"..children have dreams, men have goals. Dreams are not steeped in reality..we tend to only imagine the glory at the end and don't see the road that is needed to be traveled to achieve the birth of that "dream". Your education has helped in giving you more tools to help you plot a course..
