Thats more than enough for people who are not subject to performing well to keep a job. No Child Left Behind made it so they have practically no standard of required excellence, built in excuses and zero accountability. Teachers are the cacs of the workforce.

when i was in 9th grade my teacher use to always complain about bein broke and being underpaid. then i found out like after high school he made 70K a year. and on top of that his wife was a teacher also. that was when the cost of living was substantially lower as well. lol but he was a good teacher i'll give him that.

Saying they get the summers off and have all of these vacation days is not "dumb shyt". If they are getting 15-25% of the year off compared to a typical 9-5 working job, then they SHOULD be paid less. Not only are you wrong about all teachers getting paid like crap, but you seem to conveniently ignore the ridiculous job security they have.
You can pretty much rape a student and it takes months, if not years to fire the teacher, if they can even fire them. They will get a nice severance package and pension when they get the boot as well.

They deserve slightly more in some areas, but they have a no skill job. If graduated high school you can theoretically be a teacher for some grade level. Honestly why should a first grade teacher giving out gold stars and helping kids learn to write capital letters make 75k. Anybody can do that same job , it does not require much.

Money gets taken from teachers' monthly salary and spread out throughout the year to cover for the offtime. And this is only optional.
Also, teachers who teach in the hood do not make $75k.
If you ask any good teacher, they will tell you that they despise standardised tests and would much rather teach their own curriculum.
Breh, try managing a class of 20 rowdy ass needy kids every single day and having parents and administrators blaming you for every single thing, then come back to me.
I don't even care about they're schedule or if summers are off etc. Not even saying it's an easy job. I'm saying they make enough and most certainly for a profession that has practically no accountability and benefits comparable to other significant unions. Teachers not "making enough" is one of the biggest misconceptions pushed only for ratings by the media because of the hysterics it causes. It's a lightning rod topic.
