Give me your reaction when you first heard Ready To Die

And this can be the day it came out or the day you just decided to give it a spin, what did you get out of it and what was going through your mind? First time i heard it was in 95 and i was a 10 year old kid even though I didn't understand it completely, it was the Flow and rhythm that BIG displayed that got me into him, just the command he had on it made me want to play the album over and over again, then as I grew up, I realized the genius in him!

few years later i was on a bus & started listening to it on my ipod and i 'got it'. the story telling was

copped Ready To Die and Big Daddy Kanes "Daddy's Home" the same day....Listened to Kanes album last cuz he was still my fav....Was dissapointed at Kanes album and how the new dude outdid him.

I felt like I was listening to a movie... Awesome album and Biggie's only true classic...

I was one year old when that album came out so obviously I didn't hear it till years later. By the time I started listening to albums, the singles were already classics so I had obviously heard those before. The album cuts though I was like when I heard the type of shyt he was talking about. Simple lines like "shyt, my mama got cancer in her breast, don't ask me why i'm motherfukking stressed, things done changed" still give me chills. Not many albums have been able to make me feel like that.

I got this album 2 weeks after it came out ..

It stayed on repeat, and still gets played in the whip heavily.
