You sure you're not talking about Kwame?

Certain. It's in his book. He was skeptical of Big and thought he was all hype, was with some Brooklyn brothers that were hyping the album too as one had heard it prior. Found it hard to get a copy, eventually got it, Moe was saying how Big had a great voice but he didn't really hear any true rhyme acumen, then... Gimmie The Loot came on, he tried hard not to rock but when the track finished he just said play that again... and they were all going crazy over the album. Moe listened to the album everyday for months after, inspired him to want to come back to the game, and he wanted to see if he could do more rhythmically after that. I think he sees the album as one of the best in Hip Hop's history.

didn't like it the first time, i was a HUGE Death Row stan. but one of my boys had the cd and i did like some songs like Warning and Gimmie The Loot etc. eventually i got over the stannage and recognised it's classic status and still play it a lot to this day.

what surprised you??
I wasn't expecting much, because he had always seemed like kind of a cornball to me. I always associated him with those cheesy videos like Mo Money, Mo Problems, Hypnotize, and the whole lame Bad Boy image...because I was a kid at the time, and that's all I knew of him.

Going back and listening to RTD as an adult, I kinda realized what all the fuss was about :leon:
