for those of us who want to see genuine change in our communities it seems like an uphill battle. Have any of you though of just giving up on black America? It seems ignorance has been in embraced and we've allowed our youth to be swallowed in a culture that celebrates countless social ills. It seems impossible to change the tide. Are we a lost cause? Is our existence in the country a living? A testament of what happens when a people adopt a culture that fosters self destruction?

How many have just stop caring all together. Let nikkas be nikkas.

I cant leave my people behind. We cant just give up on each other no matter how bad it is... there are still people who strive do excel in the midst of all the negativity. For them, i cant turn my back and try to help out where i can.

I mean, there's nothing we can really do to improve black america because as long as the rich remain rich (read: probably forever) then the poor will be poor. All we can do is aspire to be great as individuals, and those that don't will just rot in mediocrity.
