Because of Snoop ??

Lmao

Snoop was on two songs on AEOM

:snoop: man cotdamn. I give up. fukk are not getting here??? he was saying that there was a BRAND that was already established. that brand was established by the business moves of Suge and the music backdrop of Dre and Snoop. without them there would be no fukking Death Row for Pac to even join!!! Pac was huge, but joining Death Row put him on another level. Safe to say he wouldve never reached that level under Iovine because they probably couldnt have got him there because you needed someone to capture the market like Suge did. the whole gangsta image, etc... then there is the matter of Dre's production. all of this took Pac to another level. Dre produced California Love. if you want to argue what Glasses is saying then argue that maybe it was more Suge and Dre that took Pac to another level and to a lesser degree Snoop. Without Suge and Dre there is no Death Row. but without Snoop Death Row would not have been the label it was. Can you say the same for Pac?

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Snoop easily

Pac was still a bit under the radar even with the news, movies and etc fame wise until the biggie beef
That nikka knocked Bruce Springstein out of his number 1 slot with his Me Against The World album while he was locked up and the album was multiplat by the time he went to Death Row yet he was under the radar? Were u nikkas alive back then?

Once again, they said while they were alive, its more than fame than record sells, Snoop had hit records because of Dre,

Snoop Dog album first came out in 93, Tupac first album is 91, by Snoop Second album in 1996 Tupac already surpassed him

Stop with this revisionist history

Tupac came to Death Row Snoop was on the back burner, if he was a bigger star that wouldn't be the case, you make zero sense and sound fukking stupid

only rapper close to Tupac's popular was DMX, who was the biggest rapper ever until Eminem
False. Snoop second album "flopped" because there was no Dre, and it was post Pac death, when Death Row was in shambles. Even then it still went double plat, going gold in 2 weeks.
Death Row's biggest album of 1995? Dog Food... DOGG POUND don't move without Snoop's influence :mindblown:
Lady of Rage, Dogg Pound, Nate Dogg, none of that shyt moves without Snoop.

Eminem and X came out the same year.... and both sold major records in the golden age of hip hop's commercialism, where everybody was going plat. So of course they were "bigger".

Go back and look at Death Row's 1995 output. The only album they dropped was Dogg Food on Halloween.

Snoop was HUGE with Doggystyle & Murder Was The Case but by 1996 that was Pac's label. Look at how disappointing Snoop's Doggfather album was. Makaveli blew it out the water.

again, in the interview Glasses said he didnt dispute that when Charlemagne said it. so again, what are we arguing here?

its no hate at all
i swear i NEVER EVER EVER heard nikkaz bumping ‘Dear Moma’ in dem streets

like Glasses said, a lot of people that would argue werent born until 94 or 95 anyway :mjlol:

I was a Pac fan from the moment he dropped 2pacalypse now. Trapped and Brenda's were my joints. I thought he was the next star on the rise. I didnt know he would be a megastar, but how many can say they were Pac fans since his first joint. I was a freshman in college when Dowhatyalike came out.

Dear Mama was a great song and I loved it when it came out, but in the whip, I was knocking that Doggystyle, no song more than Gin and Juice. shyt was so gangsta, Seagram's had to put that shyt in the store. :mjlit:

The one who really deserves the credit is Dr Dre.

Snoop, 50 Cent, 2pac, Eminem...those are arguably the 4 biggest impact rappers ever and Dre is the mastermind behind all of their peak success years. Even Kendrick, I don't got him nowhere near those other dudes but for the new generation he is mammoth, and Dre had his hand in that too.

Oh, and Snoop was on fire for around 3 years then fizzled...yet somehow he remains the most recognizable rapper in the world. That's nuts, lol. Glasses Malone is way overhyping Snoop here, even though he had some points.
he gained his popularity back on no limit, he didn’t necessarily fizzle.

Snoop was never has popular as 2pac, there was a reason Suge Knight got him out of jail so he could sign with Death Row, Pac was a movie star also, and his persona was larger than life. Snoop was just a rapper, white people like his music, so he had big commercial records, but it didn't have star aura about him.

He didn't become the Snoop Dog house hold name until after Death Row when he changed his image from a street killer to a weed smoking laid back cool uncle image

stop with this revisionist history, Snoop Dog was never as big as DMX was at his peak, stop it with this shyt, DMX sold more records than Pac even after Death that's how big he was

:snoop::snoop::snoop::snoop:

i guess u missed the Suge - Angie Martinez interview where Suge basically said Death Row made pac & he didnt move units till he came to his label

:hubie: don't be mad at me be mad at the messenger

Yeah I was :comeon: and he still wasn't bigger than Snoop, folks had been waiting on a follow up to Doggystyle.

Me against the world as good as it is/was only got hype/extra people checking into it because of Pac making news with the jail shyt and etc.

And Snoop didn't have the controversy from the murder charges? Null point..Me against the world debuted at #1 and went on to go multiplatinum selling 3 mil copies , one of the only few rap albums to do so that year when going platinum was still a big deal.

G is right.

But its "Jesus" we're talking about so no matter what factual things you say its always wrong, to them.

He said Snoop was bigger from 1993-1995 - thats a FACT. nikka Snoop dropped 1 album and lived off that until Doggfather 3 years later.
Yeah he had Murder Was The Case sdtrk, but it was a compilation. Not a Snoop project per se.

2pac had an album every year and all those other things & up until maybe Me Against The World (it was mostly the controversy that held him in the top).

Eastside of that Motor
Snoop was the bigger rookie but Pac by far 95-96.

California love alone makes him the bigger star.

Snoop caught a case and it slowed him down. Pac caught a case and did a bid and went platinum.

Movie with Janet. Dating Madonna. The shooting. The middle finger on the stretcher. Dating Quincy’s daughter. Pac by far and that’s no diss to dogg
