NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
You're stupid. 2Pac had 4 albums at the time of his death, he should've sold more than Snoop. Snoop sold like 850,000 first week with Doggystyle., Tha Doggfatehr was heavily anticipated but it was trash. And Makaveli didn't sell much better than Doggfather, how come?

Ur stupid. bytch ass nikka. I dont give a fukk what Snoop sold in 1993 when we talking about 1995 and 1996. And Makaveli went double plat FIRST before Doggfather and was triple plat by April of 97. He was stuck at what he sold initially. Pac went on to sell 4x plat afterwards. Snoop had a 75% drop off from his last album. Pac dropped 2 multiplat albums within the same year with AEOM and 7 Day Theory. And he was over 2x Plat with MATW by the time he even stepped foot in Death Row. U really need to fukk outta here honestly. Lol

Edit: had to edit I forgot Doggfather was one disc.

First week sales are always counted as ONE unit ..some of y’all dumb asses just spitting lies in this thread

And like @CHICAGO said..that album was under shipped. So that 556k first week woulda been higher if they handled it right

CERTIFICATIONS, that’s when the whole double album thing is relevant

Tupac has been dead for over 20 years and you STILL got foreign politicians talking about him

Again when u travel and speak to people who are 60+ u will see damn near every1 knows who snoop dogg is

no one is putting up murals of globally of Snoop prior to modern media/internet boom like they were for pac.

Snoop isn't hitting globally like this

I can tell a lot of y'all really wasn't fuccin with hip hop back then. Snoop was killing it out the gate. And was loved by ALL , IMMEDIATELY. Cats slowly started catching on to Pac when 'dear mama' dropped.

ah....we have come full circle. you said Dre's co-sign of Kendrick didnt matter. you said if Dre co-sign meant so much, then why didnt Bishop Lamont blow. remember that?

No....the fukk are you talking about?

Because that is not what the thread is about. the thread is about what Glasses said in the interview. which he says Snoop was bigger in 93, 94, and 95. he didnt say a damn thing about 97. I see you want to go outside of the scope of the argument but I am not going there because that is what is in the OP. the title of this thread is who was bigger when they were ALIVE. Pac was alive prior to the Dre co-sign, so that is why it is relevant. He wasnt alive in 97 when Doggfather came out. therefore irrelevant.:snoop:

you didnt read the thread or watch the video....or your trolling.

I don't give a fukk what the thread is about. Glasses jumped on social media talking about "PAC HAS TO DIE" and dropped a song to jump start his career. And people are dumb enough to sit here like :jbhmm: "let's analyze what he said in this interview". Dude framed the discussion as "'93-'95'" because it's heavily lop-sided in favor of Snoop.

Why would he do that....gee....I dunno....maybe because he's gotten attention lately from downplaying Pac?

Are people really this stupid, that I gotta explain that to them?

I am done here, but last thing I will say is how Snoop was big enough to be the driving influence behind his gang. he was the focal point of the DPGC's. Dogg Pound benefited from the association (Snoop Dogg is the name Dogg Pound's the gang) and went double plat with Dre only co-producing one song. Outlawz and Thug Life were never that big. Thug Life went gold maybe? Outlawz plat way after Pac's death? yet Eastsidaz years after Death Row and Dre went plat based off Snoop's presence alone. 213 also went gold.

God damn you cats piled a lot of bullshyt on in this thread in the short time I was gone. :gucci:

People knew who Daz and Kurupt were off "The Chronic". Nobody gave a fukk if they were associated with Snoop. Snoop wouldn't even have a career, if not for Dre.

And 2/3 of 213 was signed to Death Row in their prime.
Outlawz and Thug Life had none of that going for them. Not to the extent of DP and 213. So why are you acting like it's mind blowing that one was more popular than the other? :what:

And comparing Outlawz to The Eastsidaz is disingenuous as fukk because Snoop was actually alive to promote that group. Pac obviously wasn't around to promote The Outlawz.

Let's Be Honest 2Pac' popularity ballooned in DEATH!! Not in life, yes, he was popular, BUT his death made him LEGENDARY!!!!

Facts. The delusional will say otherwise but I saw it with my own eyes. It was the biggest bandwagon jump in hip hop history. If u notice when Canibus said BIG was the greatest in 98 on that song there was no argument contesting Pac was in that same mix of being the greatest...and that was 98.

Couldnt your same argument be used for biggie as well? No one was saying he was the greatest when he was alive, it wasnt until puffy started campaigning for that recognition did people start saying that.

I'm not even trying to argue that Biggie was the greatest, thats you going left. I'm talking about how in 98 there was no contesting what Canibus said by throwing Pacs name in the mix of being the greatest of all time.
