Glad to see you posting out here again. I will check this out later, but my initial guess is to say no, they wouldn't exist. They would just have been part of the mainstream Republican party's fringe, and relatively silent.

Yeah I agree, while anti-statism has long been apart of the American tradition I cannot deny that Obama's race payed a huge role in galvanizing the fringe part of the GOP. McWhorter and Loury disagree, I don't believe the arguments they put forward are strong but I'll let folks judge for themselves.
