PEYTON got EXPOSED! I'm not talking about just last night, but because of the dominant and masterful performance of the Seahawks defense, it really make me reflect back to Peyton's ENTIRE career and realize how overrated it actually may be. Not to say Peyton is one of the greatest of a GENERATION, but we should NEVER put him in the top 5, yes I say top FIVE of greatest QB's ever.
Peyton's hidden success has been being in divisions that were pathetic and w...eak throughout his career. This is why he CAN easily cruise by the regular season year after year and CONTINUOUSLY flop once it's post season. Peyton maybe one of the most INTELLIGENT quarterbacks that ever done it, but he DOES NOT HANDLE REAL COMPETITION WELL. In fact, he tries to AVOID IT if he has the option.
When Peyton was released from the Colts, he had the OPTION to go to the 49ers and refused because of the kind of division over there. Nah, he CHOOSES Denver because he can go on cruise on control within that division, and no disrespect for the Chiefs or the Chargers because they did have good seasons this year, but at the same time those teams and especially the Raiders were typically wack, especially the season before.
Peyton got exposed to PAD regular season records, the last game of the season when it was meaningless, the Broncos were padding those records just to push a facade of greatest. Not to dimish them for being one of the great offenses of this ERA, but lets be real that they NEVER truly dealt with a hardcore defensive opposition. The closest were the Chiefs and by the time they had to face each other, the Chiefs were having injury problems with their 2ndary.
Props to the great Seahawks, but they BARELY got in the Superbowl by ONE ENDZONE PLAY against the 49ers. They had the REAL COMPETITION in their own division. Had that been the 49ers, Peyton would of been rattled JUST the same with that defense they got. If it was the Panthers, Peyton would of been rattled JUST the same with the defense THEY got. Even if it was the SAINTS who also have a prolific offense, they would of struggled.
It's not a coincidence now as to WHY Peyton's post season record if the WORST IN NFL HISTORY now. Pretenders can only pretend for so long
