Last year I racked up $3K in tickets and lawyer fees from the Z. Lot of times I wasnt even wilding... I would have lost my license off of that 
I was just caught out there not even realizing how fast I was going. Plus I came to the sobering realization that I dont have the time or money to do track days. And when gas was up, shyt was annoying my pockets. Was real impractical too, just kind of a pain to live with on the day to day.
So I bucked up and made the responsible choice.... coming from 3 Hondas I figured I would have to go back. I found the one. Black, EX, 5 speed manual
Hard to find, I had to go 100 miles away for it.
When gas goes back up
Keeping it very lite.... coilovers, wheels, intake, brakes, audio (little subwoofer and GPS double din), HID projector retrofit. Mild stuff. I do miss the speed sometimes but most of my commute is on 2 lane roads stuck behind somebody so shyt is a waste 
I had fun though. Plus I am keeping my bike

Makes sense. I don't know if I have that kind of discipline to make your choice if I was in this same situation
