But I like that mellow stuff with smooth sounds. That new impressionz was sounding like some smooth fire

07'-12' were some heavy gogo listening days..i remember those overnight scenario sessions on the radio during elementary school days

since when did bamma not become a DC only term? bamma was a term created to diss peole from b-more.


anyways....i'm surprised noone rode club music to success in this EDM era. IT was cool in the 90's when 92q dj's would do school dances even in the suburbs and on the radio. But it wasn't something I went out of my way for. Dru Hill was the hottest group 96-2000 and thong song was a great closing act commercially for b-more/dru hill.

So close geographically yet so different

I never met any pg/dc heads till I got to Morgan state in 1999 when I met an army of kids rolling up in harley Davidson headbands, racecar jackets, puffy socks. Made some life long friends with a lot of y'all and it's all love

them thick tube socks was funny....they swore it was nice too, lol. and those nike boots!!! i'm not from the area, but i had fam in pg/dc and pg plaza was always packed with people dressed like that, lol. i'm from the great Baltimore county.

but b-more inventing those tall tees was classic tho! granted i never got down with that cause it looked like a dress and I wore my stuff 50cent size.....but it was a hood classic that spread like wildfire.

but at the end of the day. jim jones from new york going polar opposite like a rock star with smediums caught on once lil wayne co-signed it by adding skinny jeans 07-08 as the biggest urban trend of modern times lasting a decade.

I used to see bmore bamas in them house parties put them extra tall tees around they knees and hop around the dance floor. I was never more glad to be from the DMV at that point.

Plus wholetime, DC nikkaz was among the first to wear slightly fitted jeans. The cartoony slouch socks with the Goadomes is and always will be

Who can beat their feat still?

I still a go-go head to this day, even while in GA. I always get a lot of awkward looks at red lights.

Old Raw Image, UCB, Back, New Vision, TCB, ABM, some TOB, New Impressionz, etc. is what I usually listen to.

I actually put a bunch of Army dudes on it, from the West, North, and South . Cacs and Blacks. Some peoples ears just can adjust to it and looking like


I will always love Go-Go.

New Impressionz is supposed to be in Miami in the spring, I'm there
