Ngl if I had a table of I'm letting then know before I take a single order that it's all one check if that was the policy.
If they allowed splits I'd probably let them know before I take any order that I can split it to 5 checks and 5 people per check and you have to sit with People you order with.
Again I think the biggest issue is that this was sorted before a single order was taken. Thankfully the people I roll with wouldn't all just split it even no matter who ordered what. We're not about to argue.

Luckily they did have 20% gratuity built into the bill on the receipt when she zoomed in.
but the challenge with a group that big and presumably broke is getting everybody on the same page to add 20% plus tax to their portion as oppose to Tryna give just $50 for their 39.99 entree and 9.99 Long Island
It’s really not difficult at all to have separate checks. Not difficult to do and not difficult to bill. I’m sure it’s annoying though but it’s no different than every other day where 25 strangers occupy those seats and they ring up 25 separate checks. Patrons should’ve told them that from the start and the servers should’ve asked at the start.

You ring things up by seats, so if it's too difficult you probably fukked something up. It's still a bytch to print multiple checks and even worse when they move around.

Man I HATE when this shyt happens. If you have more than 5-6 people, dont split the bill!
It’s 2021, we have various apps to send money instantly, get with the program or carry cash.
When I’m in situations like this, I just use my card for the bill, and tell others at the table to pay me right there and then.
That way I get all the 2x bonus reward points on my credit card for the entire bill while actually only spending my portion

I hate going out with people who itemize shyt.
Usually with a group of ppl I hang with we just throw in on the bill, not worried about who got what and cahsapp the biggest spender later

at my old job we all went out for dinner and everyone is ordering mad stuff. I requested my own server for my own tab. fukking bill was like 1100 dollars and everyone was debating it, me, on the other hand, paid my money, tipped my waitress and slid out.
