Man finding a good consistent barber is so hard. I’ve been in LA for almost 9 years. The first 5 years it was good because I was bald and can’t fukk up a hairline when you don’t have one. But now that I’m letting hair grow out finding a good barber has been the biggest pain. This one one barbershop I was going to was always toss up. The owner and his son are good, but the other dudes are either average or below that. I either leave feeling fly as fukk or leave with looking like Wesley Snipes in Mo Better Blues. Finally had to bite the bullet and go to my brother in law and nephew’s barber, which is 20-40 mins away.

This is one of my biggest fears. I've had the same barber for about 10 years. My hair is very...fair. Natural big ass waves and it lays down instead of growing upwards, so if I get a bad cut my hair will look uneven or like I got bald spots. My barber has his own little shop now where only he works. Breh is one of those medium weight guys with a HUGE pot belly, so you know he doesn't exercise or eat right. Always bragging about the soul food his girl cooks. Mid 50s....

I've only had two consistent barbers in the last 15 years. The guy before my current guy was good but I had to throw him in the bushes because he kept aggressively trying to get me to join a pyramid scheme.
The last time I had someone outside of my consistent barber cut me...it wasn't a disaster, but I had to guide him from fukking me up. I was in the chair trying to tell him what my barber does, don't do that hold on not too fast etc etc. Breh was the most thugged out dude I ever met...and he was a big Lupe Fiasco stan

Real talk though finding a good barber is hard. When I moved to Houston in 2012 it was a struggle to find a good barber until I found a good one. He ended up moving to Atlanta back in June and it's been a struggle until September when I found a good one.

So I pay him 15 and he was like “All haircuts are $20” I’m likesince when? They stay raising prices for no reason. And it’s not like my barber is phenomenal or anything. He’s literally an average barber that has his fukk ups every once in a while. I’m bout to toss him to the bushes.

Only been there ONCE.. I just let my shyt grow if my barber and backup aint around.. fukk THAT. Plus i've gotten better a cutting my own shyt (since price is going up). Yall should do the same
