Oh God, I remember saying those exact words on that bolded sentence. Man, it's been over a decade.
And yeah, I know the news just like to sensationalize terrorism (we're victims of this too with Al Shabaab), but I've heard of bad experiences with normal Arabs from those with darker skin.

No group is perfect, but following a religion that isn't even from our own people just feels odd to me.
