Ok, you win. As far as I know, I was told it's called "xoi" (pronounced zoi), and yes, it's sweet sticky rice with another ingredient I don't know the name of wrapped in a banana leaf

Like most foods, it depends on who made it. But your stuff is stepped on in the US, I was getting that Vietnamese raw straight from the source, so that probably affects the quality too 
Props though, definitely also check out Thai, Filipino, and Indonesian cuisines, also very good.
